Barbara Heinrich: Negative Space in Nature
|
|
Cellular earrings 18 karat yellow gold with 8 diamonds, 0.16 ct tw, on plain earwiresThese earrings are inspired by Barbara's long-standing interest in the botanical world. The diamonds and cellular leaf shapes flow from the ear with gentle movement. With the dramatic increase in the price of gold, Barbara has focused on creating beautiful new designs with more negative space, thus keeping the pieces lighter. This has led to a burst of new designs that have been very successful.

Dana David: Scribbled Wave for Summer
| |
18 K Yellow gold with Diamonds (~.29)
Bezel set in 18K white gold It was snowing out and it seemed like winter would never end. I was daydreaming about summer and the beach; thinking of something open, fluid and lightweight to wear for summer, bold with a lot of presence, that would have a big impact on bare arms...the lines of the cuff have a fluid look, like waves, so everything about it feels right to me for the upcoming summer season.
My Scribble Collection is casually luxurious, fluid, filled with expressive pieces that are a bit graphic and a bit sculptural. I like clean simple lines that come together in a well-designed, balanced piece. DanaDavid will be at the Las Vegas Couture Show,

Gurhan: Deco & Diamonds
|
Pure 24 Karat Gold with black diamonds
Gurhan's Deco Collection continues to test the limits of pure 24 karat gold by creating a unique necklace that is both light and impactful at the same time. Using a circle motif reminiscent of Art Deco designs, the all around necklace features black diamonds that appear to be floating in air. When worn, the necklace grazes the collarbone. The striking combination of Gurhan's signature pure 24 karat gold with this unusual design creates a necklace that will be treasured for a lifetime. |
|

22KY Gold, Enamel. Handmade.
Designer Chhaya Kapadia creates her work thinking about three key principles: intricate and clever designs, the use of forgotten art forms, and uncompromising craftsmanship. Vivacity expressed through a rich palatte of colored enamels is the essence of the mesmerizing Enamel Collection. Paired with radiant 22K Gold, alluring colors and diamonds capture the imagination. Chhaya has gained industry-wide recognition for her ability to identify and make use of innovative materials to create her distinct look combining old world elegance with modern style.

Rebecca Overmann: A Study in Drape + Contrast
|
|
Sterling Silver, 18KY Gold
Raw Diamonds
"Like much of my work," Rebecca Overmann says, "I find inspiration through the abstraction and manipulation of natural forms. The rough diamond leaves fabricated in oxidized sterling silver, with 18k gold pins and raw diamonds explore a contrast of texture, color and material."

Somers: Supple Synergy of Hand & Mind
|
|

Mobius Square Pendant, solid .925 sterling
Somers Randolph is a sculptor. He carves his jewelry line out of soapstone. "I was thrilled to come up with a square mobius," says Somers. "I stumbled upon it and then quickly developed a triangle and a rectangle. I had seen a circular mobius before, but not a square. I was surprised to feel like I had invented it. It is a unique design and I had a particular joy in the discovery of it." The design was in the finals of the Couture Design Awards last year in Las Vegas.
Somers Jewelry will be at The Couture Show, nextWave, Booth 4. For Further Information, contact: Hillary Randolph http://www.somersjewelry.com

Suzy Landa: Bold & Glowing
|
18k gold and (from left to right): green tourmaline (5.32 ct. center stone), blue zircon (10.2 ct. center stone), green tourmaline (13.25 ct. center stone), peridot (4.5 ct. center stone), and aquamarine (6.6 ct. center stone) - all with diamonds.
I tend to focus on one-of-a-kind gemmy rings. I fall in love with big, rare stones and work backwards to design something that really shows it off. Rings are my favorite thing to design because the wearer gets to admire it as much as others do. Necklaces and earrings she sees only when looking in the mirror... I am always inspired by mid-century modernist design - at once bold and understated; clean lines, distinctive color; detailed, but not fussy; deceptive in the "simplicity" of its design, but actually more difficult to construct than it would appear.
Suzy Landa will be at The Couture Show, Design Atelier 8.

Todd Reed: Radiant Roses
| |

18ky gold, silver, fancy cut diamond (4.83ct)white brilliant cut diamonds(.088ct) and black brilliant cut diamonds (.58ct) (Round center stone) 18ky gold, silver, rose cut diamond (9.34ctw) wh.& blk brilliants(.488ct)
One of our new styles for 2010, these rings are truly inspired by the antique center stones we are using. Each of these rose cut diamonds are unique in size, color and shape, and provide the inspiration for their settings. We are using brilliant diamonds to accent and complement the lines and colors that these unique center stones radiate. The end result is a series of rings that are bold and eye catching just like the diamonds that inspired them. Todd Reed will be at The Couture Show, Booth 201.
