AIR METHODS announced the appointment of FRANK GRAHAM as the new director of commercial business development of its product division. Graham assumes responsibility for leading the division's development and growth of commercial sales in both rotor- and fixed-wing markets.

 

CONSTANT AVIATION announced its Birmingham facility completed the installation of its first STC for the Wi-Fi system along with Aircell's Gogo Biz Inflight Internet system in a Gulfstream IV.

 

LANDMARK AVIATION named MATTHEW WRIGHT as general manager at its Scottsdale location. Wright will oversee both FBO and MRO operations.

   

ROCKWELL COLLINS has achieved another STC for its Pro Line 4 to Pro Line 21 retrofit program, which is now available for operators of Pro Line 4-equipped Falcon 2000 and Falcon 2000EX aircraft.

House Extends FAA Funding for 19th Time

 

Yesterday afternoon, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation to allow another short-term extension of FAA funding and programs. This marks the 19th such extension. This new extension runs through June 30.

 

House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman John Mica (R-Fla.) said both the House and the Senate committee members were working to try to finalize long-term legislation before the current extension expires on May 31; however, a consensus has not been reached between the two sectors, and the short-term extension legislation passed yesterday will ensure continued funding through June 30.
