House Extends FAA Funding for 19th Time
Yesterday afternoon, the U.S. House of Representatives passed legislation to allow another short-term extension of FAA funding and programs. This marks the 19th such extension. This new extension runs through June 30.
House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Chairman John Mica (R-Fla.) said both the House and the Senate committee members were working to try to finalize long-term legislation before the current extension expires on May 31; however, a consensus has not been reached between the two sectors, and the short-term extension legislation passed yesterday will ensure continued funding through June 30. |
