The 5th Annual Devon Horse Show and Country Fair Christmas Tree Sale:
December 2-4 and 9-11
|
 The Devon Horse Show and Country Fair will be bringing the freshest trees from the Poconos to the Main Line again this year. Beautiful Douglas and Frazier firs in sizes from 6 to 10 feet will be sold on Lancaster Avenue, just west of the Horse Show grounds the first two weekends in December.
Stop by and let our volunteers help you choose the perfect tree, prep it, bag it and load it on your car. Bring the kids down for a special treat and a cup of hot chocolate! Devon Fudge will be available and makes great hostess gifts! In keeping with the true meaning of the season, gently used coats will be collected to be distributed to those in need.

Limited Edition Wyeth Giclée Offering
Renowned artist, Jamie Wyeth is lending his support to the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair's efforts to make the historical show grounds more handicapped accessible. Mr. Wyeth allowed reproduction of his original work, "Connemara Four," for the 2011 poster image. He also authorized a limited edition offering of fifty giclée prints that are numbered and signed by the artist. One hundred percent of the proceeds of the giclée sales will fund handicapped accessibility projects. Sales to date are financing a retrofit of the East II grandstand to allow for wheelchair seating. 
The work depicts Mr. Wyeth's wife, Phyllis, and the four Connemaras that she drove in competition throughout the 1980s and 1990s. "I wanted it to be an official portrait of each one of the horses. I liked the relationship of the driver (Phyllis) to each of the animals. They would respond to her voice commands after turning one, or both, ears in her direction," says Mr. Wyeth.
The original painting is held in private collection at the Wyeth residence.
