Preparations are well under way for the 2011 Fall Festival of Homes.  This year's tour features properties in the rolling hills of Chester County.

Chester County is home to many of the area's finest country estates, carriage houses, stables, breeding farms and barns.  Highlights this year include a property dating back to the 1700s that has been carefully restored, and a fantastic classical home with a comfortable yet sophisticated farmhouse ambience.  Each stop on the tour will be further enhanced by select caterers offering a sampling of their signature cuisine and florists providing uniquely designed arrangements to complement the homes.

Tague CupsA complimentary lunch will be provided by Tague Lumber at the beautiful Tague Design Showroom in Malvern on the day of the tour. This 10,000 square foot facility offers a large display and selection of: kitchen and bath cabinetry, windows and doors, architectural hardware, moulding and millwork, decks and siding. The facility is open to the public and has certified kitchen designers on staff.

The boutique shopping this year will be located in a spectacular 7,000 square foot barn that has been newly renovated.  The area's most unique vendors will present unusual finds, exceptional merchandise and one-of-a-kind gifts.

Wyeth Giclee Offering to Fund Accessibility
_____________________________________________________________________________
Connemara Four by Jamie Wyeth

The 2011 Devon Horse Show and Country Fair poster image, Jamie Wyeth's "Connemara Four", can still be obtained as a limited edition giclee.  The original work is held in private collection at the Wyeth residence. The only time the piece has ever been reproduced was for the 2011 poster and this limited edition offering of fifty giclees.

The painting features Mr. Wyeth's wife, Phyllis, and the the four Connemara ponies that she drove in four-in-hand coaching competitions throughout the 80s and 90s.

At the request of Mr. and Mrs. Wyeth, the proceeds from the sale of the giclee will fund the development of more handicapped accessible areas throughout the Devon Horse Show and Country Fair grounds.  To date, the offering, limited to fifty, has raised over $20,000.  If you are interested in learning more about this offering, please contact Gretchen Schwoebel at 610-942-1996.
