Dear BBB Accredited Business,
Our fist article this month is to make consumers and businesses aware of a horrible scam that is sweeping the nation. Please read below to find out how to avoid becoming a victim.
Next, as you may know, the Better Business Bureau is celebrating "100 Years" as the leader in advancing marketplace trust! President Obama is Not Offering to Pay Your Bills
The BBB has received a large volume of calls regarding a new scam circulating. Victims are told that by giving over personal information they will receive information on how to have their bills paid by the federal government.

Earlier this month a letter was sent via email to the 918 Accredited Businesses that have email addresses on file with the BBB. The letter from CEO Michael Cook talked about the newest feature of our website where Accredited Businesses can login and do the following:

BBB Accredited Businesses - How to Manage your report
Did you know that there is a section on our website where accredited businesses have the ability to log into your business profile page and update your information, upload photos and videos of the product or service that you offer, create custom report text, obtain an online and print logos, and create QR codes.

Did You Know? Interesting facts about the BBB & it's services!
Did you know? - In last last 90 days our site alone had 25,000 visits, averaged 5 page views and 5 minutes per visit.The BBB is able to compile lots of different statistics about what we do, how often we do it & how many people take advantage of our services. Here are some of our Statistics for 2011:
- The BBB had 58,512 Total Inquiries and TOB rosters were given both manually from our office and from the website.
- The BBB closed 3,741 complaints in 2011
- The BBB gave out 8,536 general advice reports
- In 2011 597 businesses had online seals
- We had 4,635 AB online seal clicks in 2011
These are just some of the many statistics the BBB can look at to monitor our progress and work.
