Dear BBB Accredited Business,

The BBB name is being used again in a phishing scam targeting area businesses. We have received a large volume of calls from businesses that have received this phony email claiming to be from the BBB.The BBB is trying to stay on top of these emails and alert businesses as soon as they surface. The council of Better Business Bureaus is asking that these emails be forwarded to: phishing@council.bbb.org.

Another Phishing email is circulation using Amazon.com to trick consumers. This email claims to come from Amazon.com in regards to an order cancellation. Read the article below to learn how to tell the difference between a real email and a fake.

Memorial Day is around the corner and even though this should be a time to honor and remember those that are serving and have served in our military, scam artist prey on unsuspecting consumers and try to rip them off using this holiday.

The BBB military line and Wise Giving Alliance bring you some tips regarding giving and/or buying this Memorial Day.

We hope that you enjoy the BBB Bulletin and find the information in them helpful. We also want to encourage you to pass the Bulletin on to others. Forward the email to friends, family & coworkers. The more people that receive the email, the more people we can keep informed of what's going on!

Thanks to all of our accredited businesses for their participation & commitment to the BBB!
