Giving Thanks
The Kansas Humanities Council is thankful to the Kansans who bring humanities conversations and programs to communities across the state:- the local coordinators who organize hundreds of Statehood Speakers Bureau presentations, TALK book discussions, FLIKS film discussions, and Shared Stories of the Civil War reader's theater events throughout the year;
- the project directors whose grant projects promote humanities discussions and preserve local history;
- the speakers and discussion leaders who travel Kansas to share ideas and spark discussion;
- the event participants who contribute to rich community conversations;
- the Kansas Humanities Council Board of Directors whose expertise and vision guides our work;
- and the Friends of the Humanities whose support makes the humanities happen in Kansas.
Thanks for the memories! We hope you enjoy this look back at some KHC-supported Statehood Anniversary events from 2011:
