If you made a list of all the things you love about Kansas, what would it include? The Kansas Historical Society narrowed their choices to 150 items representing the Kansas spirit, past and present. Those items are featured in the new 150 Things I Love About Kansas exhibition.
The special exhibition will be on display January 28 - December 31, 2011 at the Kansas Museum of History in Topeka as part of the statewide commemoration of the 150th anniversary of Kansas Statehood. It is supported by a KHC Humanities grant.

The German Heritage of Kansas
More than a third of Kansas residents are of German ancestry. William D. Keel will lead a Kansas Day presentation and discussion exploring the major German immigrant groups and their impact on Kansas agriculture, education, and Midwestern culture on January 29 in Bird City.
The German Heritage of Kansas is one of over 70 Kansas-themed presentations available in KHC's Statehood Speakers Bureau catalog.
