Corporate Counsel to Reward Firms Focused on Diversity
A March Law360 article discusses recent efforts by a group of prominent corporate counsel who are encouraging law firms to continue with their diversity efforts. Although the recession has taken its toll on diversity efforts at some major U.S. law firms, corporations like American Airlines, Prudential, and Microsoft are stepping up efforts with outside counsel to focus on diversity. From giving more business to firms owned by minorities and women to increasing the number of hours such attorneys at large firms work on matters, major corporations are working together to help keep diversity a focus for businesses and law firms alike. | |
