Greetings!
This month we have National Back Pain Awareness week, Breast Cancer Awareness week and Halloween. Cool!
Well, last week I gave you a simple exercise for stretching your piriformis so that you can enjoy your favorite activity without pain, and today's exercise will help keep you from cramping up on those days that you have to sit for long periods. That'll cover back pain, we'll talk about breasts next week, and Halloween humor is at the bottom of the page!
The most important thing we can do for ourselves as women, to prevent not only breast cancer, but heart disease as well, is to take care of ourselves. Self-care is a top priority because you can't take care of others if you don't take care of yourself first, yet so often "me" falls to the bottom of our to-do list.
The holidays are coming soon though, so by request, and to help you remain on top of your game, I'm bringing my Acu-Yoga for Total Wellness program to both Virginia and the Berkshires. My one day workshop in Alexandria, VA. is listed below, with links and phone numbers for registration.
The program in the Berkshires is a four session series on Monday and Thursday evenings. We'll start on Monday Nov. 5th from 5:30 - 6:45pm and continue until Thursday Nov. 15th.
