There are a few books out there that talk about this subject, but none so easy to understand, and simple to use. In writing Living Consciously In An Ego Driven Society, Karen Monteverdi is offering a shortcut, a possibility... you won't have to wait years to "get it"!
WHAT IS "IT"? A life that you LOVE living. A life that you can't wait to get into each day. A life that calls forth YOUR unique expression.
Karen Monteverdi believes that the traditional medical community and alternative health practitioners are missing some of the bits and pieces to complete the healing equation. The effectiveness of the conventional health community has always been trial and error.
In this book, she sets the stage for a new way to look at health, a new way to express ourselves. The Total Holistic Integrated System, is an expression of how you experience life. You can change your mind, heart, spiritual awareness, become emotionally intelligent and improve your body awareness to create a positive experience of life, letting go of the distress.
Living Consciously in an Ego Driven Society is a guide to understand what that means and how different aspects of "Self" being expressed can affect our quality of life. When we live in ego, we may create unwanted symptoms in our mind/body/spirit and emotional body. The "Ego Driven Society" is a "Stress Full Society!"
People who have frequent moments of stress and do not take steps to manage their stress are prone to developing stress induced illnesses like:
* Heart disease
* High blood pressure
* Hypertension
* Diabetes
* Ulcers
* Allergies
* Asthma
* Rheumatism, arthritis
* Colitis
* Chronic bronchitis
* Sinus problems and more!
Here's the best part, when you buy the book, you can download dozens of similar bonuses that will help you lead a stress free life. Enjoy! Get yours here!

Greetings!
Hope all the Dad's out there had a great Fathers Day weekend!
Almost my entire family gathered together on Saturday to honor our brother Michael and we enjoyed a wonderful reunion.
The state of Massachusetts named a new bridge in our home town after Michael, who was killed in Viet Nam in 1968. Some of his surviving platoon members came to celebrate with us and they had a bronze plaque made with his name that will be installed on the bridge. It was a lovely ceremony and the party afterward was, like all of our get-togethers, filled with music. My sister brought her keyboard, brothers Tim and Joe brought their guitars and other friends came with drums, bass guitars, and other instruments so that we could sing and dance the day away! I feel so blessed to have such a talented family! Many original songs were played, as well as a few of our old favorites.
Our dad passed away in 1993, but we all felt him smiling down from the other side and singing along with us. At one point, we raised a glass and toasted him and the other dads both here and gone, and I could almost hear Pop singing a verse of his favorite song - Danny Boy. A great time was had by all!
It was a hot and sticky day and I was surprised at how many people forgot to bring sunscreen to the event - lots of red necks and feet!
Today I have included a few tips for you about sunscreens, hats and other ways to "keep your cool" in the hot sun.
Enjoy this lovely weather, the book recommendations, and have yourself a good laugh with today's humor. I especially like grandma's idea for her bathroom scale!
Best of Health,
Kathi

Keeping Cool in The Hot Sun |
Tips for "Keeping Your Cool" in the hot sun:
1. Most importantly you must stay hydrated, so drink lots of water, especially when it's 90o out and you know you'll be out for a while like at a picnic or parade. You already know this, just a reminder!
2. Wear light, reflective clothing. Dark clothing pulls the heat in, but light colored clothes reflect the sun away from your body. I like to wear tops made from the new wicking fabrics, instead of cotton, because they help keep the sweat off my body so I feel more comfortable. They're available in all sporting goods shops like Dick's, and in major chains like Macy's and Wal Mart.
3. Wearing a ventilated hat will help you from becoming a "hot head" because it lets air in. This is a really good idea when you get to the parade or picnic late and the only places left to sit are out in the beating sun! Wear a hat that shades your face and it will help you keep your cool.
4. Douse your head in cool water. Your head has good circulation, and cooling any part of your body with good circulation will help cool the rest of your body. You may have heard that the wrists are a good place to place an ice cube to cool yourself down, and while this works a little, your head is a much larger surface, so you'll get better results by cooling your noggin'!
5. A word about sunscreens - many of us today are looking for natural sunscreens that work and are affordable. We don't really want to add any of those nasty toxic chemicals to our bodies, but can't afford to spend a fortune on skin care products. Well, one that comes highly recommended and won't break the bank is Alba Botanica Mineral Sunscreen. It's available in your local Wal Mart or Rite Aide, so you don't have to order on line, you can pick one up today! Here's a link to the website with the list of 2012 best and worst sunscreens. |
