"No one can go back and start a new beginning, but anyone can start today and make a new ending"-Unknown
We may not be able to start over but we can begin again right where we are at, making improvements in our lives. It's not about trying to erase past mistakes but more about learning from them. It's about asking the Lord to help us each day, to fall deeper and deeper in love with Him. As we set our minds on things above and not on earthly things (Colossians 3:2), we will find that the `things of earth will grow strangely dim in the light of God`s glory and grace. ` My (Susie) desire is to continue getting to know my Saviour Jesus Christ more and more this year, to recognize His voice in any circumstance as I grow deeper in His Word. My prayer is that you would desire the same.

SCA Eagle's Nest Update
Here's a look at some of the events that have taken place this past Christmas season:
Wrapping Christmas Gifts at LC EMC Church: Two small groups from the La Crete EMC youth got together at the church to wrap approximately 180 Christmas gifts to deliver to families in Fox Lake. Their help was greatly appreciated!! We are still waiting for the list of families that these gifts will be given to, but we hope to have that done within the next week or two. Candy Bag Assembly at SCA Eagles Nest:
Approximately 40 people from various churches met at the camp lodge to put together 2,550 candy bags. It was very encouraging to see so many people show up and because of the great turnout, the bags were ready to be distributed in less than an hour! Thank you to all those who came to help!
Candy Bag Deliveries to 11 Communities:
A big thank-you to all who participated in delivering candy bags! Your willingness to help meant a lot! It's an exciting time of the year to be able to go out into the schools and homes of the surrounding communities, and to see many faces light up and expressions soften at the very mention of "SCA Eagle's Nest". One of the highlights of the candy bag endeavors this year was being able to meet with some wonderful principals. The three principals that Marc and I (Susie) met with from the Little Red Communities were all very friendly and welcomed us back to visit anytime, for which we praise the Lord! Another huge highlight for me personally, was being able to see and chat with some of the girls that were in my cabin nearly 10 years ago! Many of them are now moms or finishing high school. Yes, it makes me feel old but at the same time I felt so blessed to have been a part of their life and my prayer is that I'd be able to keep in touch with them after having lost contact with them for many years.

| Praise & Prayer
Praise the Lord for safe travels when delivering the Christmas gift bags. Praise Him for the people who volunteered to help with handing out the gifts!
Praise the Lord for the opportunity I (Susie) had to go to the South Tallcree school and spend the morning there. I mostly observed while the principal was teaching, helped with an experiment, and also met with a wonderful Teacher's Assistant who just so happened to be the mother of a camper from years ago. Marc and I plan to meet with the Principal soon to come up with a program that we will be assisting in each week. Please pray that God's direction would be clear to us, and that we would be a shining light amongst the staff and students there.
Pray for Marc as he continues to teach guitar lessons at the Spirit of the North School in High Level.
Praise the Lord for all the donations that came in to cover the cost of the candy bags and distributions! Pray for provision of finances and a full-time Director.
