Center Scenes Paul Jerde, Executive Director of the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship, will speak to audiences in Portugal on "Entrepreneurship in Times of Crisis" at the ISLA Lisbola's Alpha Forum in Lisbon. Room for Cream? Michaela (Perea) DeGraw (MBA '06) opened a new business in Louisville along with a business partner: Bean and Berry, a coffee and wine bar. Armed with her notebooks from Frank Moyes' business planning class, DeGraw penned a a business plan that helped them with funding, a lease, and a liquor license (among other things.) "Thanks Frank," she touts.
DeGraw touts Bean and Berry's conference/meeting/event space as an ideal change of pace for students and alumni looking for a place for meetings and/or work group sessions. Reservations are free, as is the WIFI.
