It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!

Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.

Enter the Take Action Now System (tm).

This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.

The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.

Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today.

Greetings!

On this last day of August, summer in the northern hemisphere is coming to a close. With it come the final days of what a friend calls "summer brain": the mental vacation a lot of us take during warm and playful days.

One particular challenge I face is finding an appropriate way to mix work and play.  I sometimes struggle to know when it's most effective  to completely and physically walk away from work in order to give myself a fresh perspective and renewed energy, and when just a quick 20 or 30 minute mental break will do.

If you sometimes huff and puff over how to manage your efforts and your energy, see what the following tools can do for you.

Tip of the Week

Work when you're working. Play when you're playing.

Shut the office door, set a timer, work at a different location...Whatever it takes, figure out how to keep yourself focused on just one thing at a time, whether it's re-charging through play or making progress through work.
A Really Good Resource

One of the best ways to boost your energy and approach work with a clearer mind is to spend some time in nature.

Those of us in the Twin Cities metro area of Minnesota are fortunate to have access to the 900-acre Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. If you live elsewhere in the U.S., you can find your local arboretum here; if you live in a more exotic locale, simply do an Internet search for local arboreta near you. The results in stress reduction and improved creativity will be well worth the effort.

Staying focused on the job is especially important when you're on the clock and the client is paying you for your time. When you maintain a focus on quality work, you create raving fans. Just ask Kyle Christopherson of PaintingPro.

I needed all the walls and ceilings in my house painted, and I'm so glad I chose Kyle to do the work. He was efficient, thorough, painstaking in doing repairs before painting, and meticulous about cleaning up.

Because his clear intent was to do a first-class job as efficiently as possible and for a very acceptable cost, he flew through the project. As a result, I gave him a glowing recommendation on Angie's List and am ready to refer him to anyone who's even thinking about having any painting done...and a highly satisfied customer's recommendation is worth a lot more to any business owner than the most expensive advertising in the world could ever be.

Sometimes even focused effort, deliberate breaks to re-charge, and intentional goal setting don't get you where you want to go as quickly or easily as you might like.  If that's the case, maybe I can help.  My specialty is providing a flexibly structured process for zeroing in on the important things to do and how to do them in a way that gets results and saves your sanity.

If that sounds like something that could keep your head from exploding, call or e-mail me to set up a let's-see-what-we-see, get-acquainted call.

Wishing you joy on your journey into Big...
