It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!
Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.
This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.
The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.
Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today. |

Greetings!
It's been a curious week. In speaking with my accountability buddy, my MasterMind colleagues, my dogs, and unsuspecting strangers on the street, I've found that a LOT of people have been emotionally huffing and puffing lately. Of course, I'm willing to blame this on the full moon/Mercury in retrograde/any other astronomical phenomena that come to mind.
However, I suspect a larger part of the problem is the tendency for even very smart, accomplished professionals to get hung up thinking of the obstacles and challenges (AKA problems) that appear to stand between us and our desired results.
Based on painful personal experience, I can confidently state that this is a sure-fire way to keep yourself playing smaller than you deserve. If you spend time and energy on what's not working or what's hard to do, it's easy to fall into inertia and inaction. Yuck.
If you find yourself in a wheel-spinning, thumb-sucking, hiding-your-head-in-the-sand mode, apply some of the following tools to get you back on your path to Big.

Tip of the Week
Vividly and frequently imagine your desired outcome.
Neuroscience has demonstrated that the brain is incapable of distinguishing between an event vividly imagined in the mental world and one which has actually occurred in the physical world.
And you care about this...why?
Because you can use your brainpower as a powerful success tool. Instead of investing your mental energy into thinking about obstacles, which only makes them feel more bigger and more unmanageable, spend time focusing on how you'll feel when you've overcome those obstacles and achieved your desired outcome.
It's almost magical seeming how this focus on what you want enables you to achieve it more easily.

A Really Good Resource
In this book, Grabhorn shows you how to intentionally use your emotions so that, instead of being at their mercy, you make those emotions (including fear) serve you.

How's This for Success?

Katy Lindberg knows all about focusing on the outcome as a way to power through obstacles.
Back in the day, Katy very intentionally - even cold-bloodedly - looked at what would be necessary for her to become a successful insurance professional known for making life easy for her clients. As she once put it, "I knew I'd probably be eating a lot of peanut-butter sandwiches for the first three years, but I also knew that, if I got through them, I'd have a business I could be proud of and a terrific income."
And so she did.

Thanks to my friend Flickr.
Here are this week's heroes who graciously allowed me to use their images, posted in the Creative Commons area of Flickr, in this issue of Stepping Into Big:

For highly creative entrepreneurs, one of the biggest obstacles to success is figuring out which of the bright shiny objects available to us are worth our time and energy. Even when you've successfully done that, you still get to figure out how to focus on that activity and ignore other options that can seduce you from your mission-critical tasks.
If that sounds uncomfortably familiar, maybe I can help. Call or e-mail me to set up a free get-acquainted call; we'll explore what we can do to organize and prioritize your overwhelming options.
Wishing you a terrific time as you travel your path to Big...
