It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!
Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.
This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.
The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.
Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today. |

Greetings!
Sometimes we business owners lose sight of the fact that we started our businesses to make money doing something we're good at and to have fun at it. What with one thing and another, we can start focusing on what's not working rather than what's worth celebrating.
The same is true for your clients. So why not brighten their day by letting them know how much you appreciate them, or making it super-easy to do business with you, or just thanking them for giving you the chance to be of service?
See which of the following ideas inspires you to step up and make someone's day.

Tip of the Week
Don't take your clients for granted!
It's been said that one of the most powerful human hungers is for appreciation. If you take the time to let clients know that you really do appreciate them, you'll not only give them a reason to smile - you'll also give them a reason to continue doing business with you.
|
A Really Good Resource
A sincere expression of appreciation doesn't have to be time consuming and labor intensive. You can actually sit at your computer and send a physical card through the U.S. Mail to say thanks, congratulations, or even (for the right client) "Just thinking of you". It will arrive at your client's home or office bearing a First Class stamp, and the message, if you so choose, will show up in your own handwriting. It doesn't get much easier - or more effective - than this.

How's This for Success?

You'll almost never see my cite a major corporation here, but I figure rules are made to be broken when appropriate.
I've been happy with my Gold American Express SkyMiles card from Delta Airlines. I use it for as many household purchases as possible to earn points I can then use to pay for airline tickets. Since I always pay off the credit-card balance in full each month, it's a way to save money on airfare without spending money on finance charges.
I recently got another Gold AmEx SkyMiles card exclusively for business purchases, and I mentally prepared to do battle with the airline to convince them to let me apply the points earned on both cards to the same SkyMiles account.
Imagine my surprise when I got my first business statement and found that the airline combined my business and personal purchases without my even asking them to - thus making it faster for me to accumulate miles. This was so far above and beyond my expectations that I've been singing their praises ever since. Who knows? They just might get some new business out of it.

Thanks to my friend Flickr.
Here are this week's heroes who graciously allowed me to use their images, posted in the Creative Commons area of Flickr, in this issue of Networking Nuggets:

Out and About
For those of you living in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area of Minnesota, I invite you to join me next week as I speak to the Business Women's Network at Al Baker's in Eagan. We'll have a great time exploring the topic Stop Playing Small! Seven Steps to Unlock the Door to Your Big Self.

While it's crucial to your business success to let your clients know how much you value them, it's equally important for you to acknowledge yourself and all the work you put in to creating a successful business.
Unfortunately, many of us are focused on everything that could be done that we haven't gotten around to yet. The thought of all those un-seized opportunities can make us kind of crazy and cause us to feel like we don't have much to celebrate.
Sound familiar? If so, give me a call or e-mail me. One of the things my clients most appreciate is how I'm able to provide them with a structure for saying yes/no/not now to various activities so that they're more confident that they're doing the right things in the right order...and deserve the kudos for doing so.
Wishing you a terrific time as you celebrate your journey to Big...
