It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!
Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.
This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.
The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.
Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today. |

Greetings!
As I write this, I'm sitting in the Fireplace Room of the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum, surrounded by some of my favorite people as each of us works in her own little bubble of quiet.
The idea behind this in-town mini-retreat is simple: Get out of the everyday frenzy of busy-ness, focus on those important tasks that all to often get shoved to the back burner, and spend some time getting re-charged in the company of like-minded women.
As one of the women said at the very beginning of the day, "I'm already inspired by the energy all of you bring." How cool is that?
As entrepreneurs, we all too often get stuck in the trap of thinking that we can and should do everything ourselves. That way lies madness. Much better to connect with other talented business owners to see how we can propel each other forward.
As you look for ways to tap into the resources all around you, I hope the following ideas will make your steps bigger and easier.

Tip of the Week
Make sure you have the right people playing in your sandbox.
Who are those right people? Ones who will celebrate with you, offer a shoulder to cry on when you need it, hold you accountable for your commitments, and generally make sure they have your back.
Who are wrong people? Those who minimize your achievements, tell you you'll never succeed, always assume the worst, and look for flaws.

A Really Good Resource
When it's time to get inspired by seeing what can be done by tapping the talents of others, it's time to watch Secretariat, the story of a horse who won racing's coveted Triple Crown .
This true story clearly demonstrates that one person can't do it all. Penny Chenery, owner of Secretariat, needed a professional to train her horse and a jockey to ride it. Trainer and jockey needed someone to hire them. And all three needed a powerful horse to actually run the races. Pool the vision, skills, and determination contributed by all four of them together, and you have a magical story of power and triumph.

How's This for Success?

Whether you're asking for help or giving it, it pays to remember that every little bit really does help.
A case in point: The Animal Rescue Site, part of the Greater Good Network, is a fast and easy way to contribute food to animals in need. It takes me literally seconds to click on the link they provide, plus I get to enjoy some darling images of rescued critters. My one little click, multiplied by tens of thousands of users, helped fund 68 million bowls of food for hungry animals in 2011.
It's good to remember that animals need wonderful people in their sandboxes, too.

Thanks to my friend Flickr.
Here are this week's heroes who graciously allowed me to use their images, posted in the Creative Commons area of Flickr, in this issue of Networking Nuggets:

When we're focused on accomplishing big things in our businesses, it's sometimes easy to lose sight of the fact that we want to have fun in the process. Having the right people working right along side you can certainly add lightheartedness and energy to the hard work we do.
Wishing you the best of sandbox buddies...
