It's Time
To Get Off The Hamster Wheel!
Just being in motion will never get you to your Big. To do that, you need to be sure you're doing the right things, in the right order, for the right reasons.
This seven-step system clarifies the activities that are mission-critical to your success. It then walks you through a process for creating step-by-step action plans to implement those key activities.
The result? You get off the hamster wheel of motion-without-progress and get on a more direct route to more clients and more money.
Forget about being busy; start getting focused by downloading your no-charge PDF version of the Take Action Now System (tm) today. |

Greetings!
For many people around the world, we're approaching a time of gift giving. I was given the gift of being nominated for the Destined to Win Award by members of my favorite networking group, Minnesota Women in Networking. Woohoo!
Then I found out that, after much difficult debate and discussion, the committee gave the award to someone else. Boohoo!
I allowed myself to feel kind of pitiful for a while and then started thinking. Tai Goodwin, the woman who won the award, is a talented business owner whose services I've used and benefited from, and I can absolutely understand why she was selected. In addition, I realized that, by this time next year, I'll have way more successes under my belt as I use the Take Action Now System (tm) to help more clients move from ideas to action to success...which just might make the selection process easier for next year's committee. (Positive thinking is my friend.)
Bottom line: Rather than choose to focus on what I didn't get, I focused on what I did get and what I look forward to getting next year. Instead of feeling like a loser, I feel grateful and excited about what's to come.
As you map out your own plans to be and feel like a winner, enjoy using the following tools as you Step Into Big.

Tip of the Week
Re-frame events so that you're energized, not depleted.
We've all been there: Something goes less well than we'd hoped, and we start creating doom-and-gloom explanations for why it happened, who's to blame, yadda yadda yadda. All this does is help you feel like a loser.
Instead, choose an explanation that empowers, rather than weakens, you. After all, you're making up a story to explain whatever the disappointment is; why not make up one that has a positive slant and enables you to remain feeling powerful?

A Really Good Resource
Here's one reason to be grateful to live in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis/St. Paul, Minnesota, even in the frigid month of January.
Minnesota Women in Networking is holding their annual Destined To Win Conference on January 19, 2012. This event gets bigger and more action-packed each year.
Start your year by gaining powerful business-building tools and saving money at the same time. When you register by December 23, 2011, you'll get the early-bird registration rate, and if you enter the discount code "guest" during check-out, you'll save an additional $25. Do you know how much chocolate that can buy??

How's This for Success?

What you tell your clients is just as important as what you tell yourself. Candace Avila knows this very well.
Candace's work as a business coach was going okay, but she was frustrated that she was not getting more clients - especially because she knew just what kind of results she could help them get.
Since she knew her service wasn't the issue, she turned her attention to the message she was using. She ended up clarifying her value proposition and targeting it more closely to her ideal clients. She stopped talking about coaching and started talking about results her clients could expect.
The results for her business? You guessed it: more. More clients, more money, more satisfaction - all from telling a more powerful and compelling story.

Thanks to my friend Flickr.
Here are this week's heroes who graciously allowed me to use their images, posted in the Creative Commons area of Flickr, in this issue of Networking Nuggets:

It's been said that facts tell and stories sell. What sort of stories are you telling yourself about the results you get?
Wishing you many starring roles as the hero of your own stories...
