Can't you just feel that sun peeking through the clouds of Winter? We can, and WE ARE EXCITED! Not only is Spring just around the corner, but so is the promise of lots of new and exciting merchandise at Quilts & Sew Forth.
We have many shipments due to come in. Check out our new 'NEWS' button on our website for new arrivals! We cannot wait to share our beautiful fabrics, informative books and time-saving notions with you. In addition to our steady stream of new Hoffman (Bali-pops are on their way!!!), RJR, Red Rooster, Maywood, Windham, VIP, Blank, Henry Glass, South Sea Imports and Marcus Bros Fabrics - we now have new lines from Michael Miller and Bernartex due to arrive in early April.
Our extenisive collection of Quilting & Patchwork books is updated almost weekly and we have 3 great magazines arriving this month including Quilter's Home by Mark Lipinski - a GREAT and FUN read.
Lastly our Notions/Pattern rack is ever growing (we have been listening to YOUR suggestions!) and the new Gutterman thread rack has arrived and Mettler is still on its way. We also have our new, self published, Japanese Boy and Girl Patterns ready for purchase @ $12/piece - Thank You for your patience. Keep in mind that if we don't have what you are looking for we can usually order it for you and get it to you within a day or 2. Having it delivered to our store for pick up will save you shipping & handling costs.
We have started our new SPRING hours early by staying open late one night/week. We are now open from 9AM through 8:30PM on Monday nights. This will be the night that we schedule our evening classes & workshops, beginning with our "Introduction to Template Making Series" (Our version of a Beginners class) on 4/13, 4/20 & 4/27. Tuesday through Friday we at open from 9AM-5PM and on Saturdays we are open from 10AM until 5PM.
We have many new classes scheduled and they are filling up fast. Several guest teachers will be gracing our classroom, including Kathy McCarty, Esther D'Abate and Mary Paulin. Once our resident instructor, Monique Noonan, returns in April - there is hardly a day without a class going on so check out our CLASSES and sign up in the store or over the phone.

If you've enjoyed it, please pass it on to all the 'Quilters' in your life and as always, thanks for being so supportive of us and our website. Bus to NQA Quilt Show
Date: June 20th
Depart 8AM'
Return: 6PM
Cost: $20-40/person
Join us for a relaxing trip to an exciting Quilting destination - the National Quilting Association Quilt Show. This 35-passenger luxury bus features arm & foot rests, ceiling-mounted TV monitors, DVD player, and plenty of trunk space for all those purchases at the show!
Bus will leave at 8AM from Q&SF (park at'Yours Truly). We'll spend about 4 hours at the NQA Quilt Show and be back by 6PM or so.
$40 deposit due by March 31st. Fully refundable if less than $20 seats are booked. If all 35 seats are filled, fee will drop to $20 per person and you will receive a $20 refund.

Fabric Challenges
Our UGLY fabric challenge officially came to a close at the end of February. We had 15 sets purchased and 5 wonderful projects turned in by the deadline. Our guest judge Debbie Manheim of Mooreland Hills, OH reviewed the entries on 3/3/09 and the winner was Kathy Fein. She scored the highest number of points. Her originality, use of fabric & workmanship were GREAT. Kathy won a gift certificate to our store!
The following ladies should be mentionned for exceptional work as well. Thank you to all of you who participated and made this a fun Challenge!

NEW! Bi-Monthly Fabric Challenge NEW!
Come in and grab a bag of fabric today and join in on this fun & friendly competition. Your finished project should be between 24" x 24" and 36" x 36" with a maximum of 4 additional fabrics.
The entry fee is $6, with the winner to receive a store gift certificate of $10 or more, depending on the number of entries. To be eligible, your entry must have a label/name on
the reverse side and be turned in by 5/29/09.
Submissions presume the right to photograph the projects and display them on our website/newsletter as well as in our store for up to 2 weeks.
