Cape Eleuthera Championship
The BBC's next stop is at Powell Point on the southwest coast of Eleuthera. The Cape Eleuthera Championship (May 19th through 22nd) is hosted by the new Cape Eleuthera Resort & Yacht Club. General Manager, Stephen Kappeler and his staff have gone all-out to insure that the BBC anglers and crew will have an enjoyable experience at this unique Out Island resort.
Be sure to bring a hearty appetite because Bacacudas of Cape Eleuthera is noted for Bahamian/Italian specialties like lobster fettuccini. In addition, the resort will be celebrating the grand opening of Two Palms Bar & Grille with a wine tasting host by the resort and Dry Creek Vineyards. See the complete schedule of events in this issue of BBC e-Update. Following the successful anglers' cookout at the Central Abaco Championship, the BBC will host another Anglers' Cookout on Thursday evening beginning at 7:00 PM. Wave WiFi will host a one-hour cocktail party in conjunction with the cookout. Bring your catch of the day or your favorite cut of beef and join us for an old-fashion cookout. Grills will be set up adjacent to the Two Palms Bar & Grille. Side dishes for the cookout are provided by the BBC and include peas & rice, macaroni & cheese, stir-fry mixed vegetables and Island School field aquaculture greens AND pineapple upside down cake for desert. At this writing, twenty-eight teams have registered for the Cape Eleuthera Championship and only a few deluxe villas (two bedroom condos) remain for shore-side accommodations.
