A conflict free relationship or a perfect relationship does not exist in reality. Life is a dynamic force. It offers each one of us a wide range of experiences.
To look out for an ideal situation where you never argue, quarrel or get angry or express love and affection all the time, is only in one's imagination.
On the contrary, a peaceful relationship is epitomized with a state of being where you just allow the other person to be himself or herself, and this is possible only when you realize the futility of trying to understand each other.
Your perceptions and ideas might look very dear to you, but to expect that your partner must adopt the same framework creates the problem.
No two persons could agree all the time. You are a resultant experience of several factors like the process of your birth, childhood, weather, the food that you consume and it is the same with your partner.
Each of you are unique in your approaches. Hence, expecting your spouse to have the same view is not intelligence. As you awaken this truth, you begin to experience your spouse which gives rise to joy.
For example as your wife is angry with you, if you could really connect with her and experience her anger like how you enjoy your morning walk or a cup of coffee, then that would be the most fulfilling moment in your marital life.
This exercise would certainly put the other person at ease since you're not trying to complain or reject. This is the ultimate solution for a healthy marital life.
Time for reflection:

Every time you complained and made an attempt to change the internal attitude of your spouse, how did he/she respond to it?

You want to create a life of abundance. That is a noble ambition. To build a Burj Dubai or Petronus Towers what you need to do is first create a foundation that is deep enough and strong enough to hold the building. It has to penetrate in the earth to hold such an edifice. If you are going to dig a two-feet foundation, you obviously cannot expect that a mighty structure would stand on it. The same applies to life. Build a solid foundation.
All great happenings whether they are historical occurrences, scientific discoveries, gigantic organizations or individual achievements began with a single moment of decision or intent. Decision or intent is the seed of all creation.
What is an intent? An intent is a desire with passion. On an average day every individual has a minimum of 50 to 60 desires ranging from the little things of life to the big things. But an intent unlike a desire is focused. It generates energy. It sets the entire universe working in the direction you choose to go.
Several years ago a young man was passionate about becoming a medical doctor and serving the people of his village. Unfortunately for him, even though he passed all the written entrance examinations for a medical college, he failed to get through the "viva" [oral entrance exams]. Almost disillusioned, but pinning his hopes on one last medical college. He was traveling by train to take up the exam.
A friendly fellow passenger inquired of the young man's father as to why the boy had such a forlorn look on his face and got to know the entire story from the father. Wishing the young man good luck, he got off the train in some station en route. Two days later when the young man entered the chamber for the interview, he found the friendly stranger sitting right at the head of the interviewers. The rest is history. This young man went on to become one of the deans of a prestigious medical college. He served the poor until his last breath.
There are innumerable instances of the sentient universe conspiring to help those with a pure intent. Remember a life without a vision is like a journey without a destination.
Now, why is it that sometimes in spite of having the most powerful intents, one comes across roadblocks and obstacles? Here is where the power of right intent comes into being. What makes an intent right or wrong? It is the "why" behind the intent. Why do you want what you want? What are the driving reasons behind your intent? Are they emotions and attitudes by comparison, the need to overtake, to prove that you are no less than someone, or hate or fear?
Or, is your intent powered by love, a sense of fulfillment, excitement, adventure or to be of greater use to society and family. Remember, the sentient universe will only support you if your intentions are holistic, beneficial and nourishing, not otherwise. As is the seed so is the tree. If the seed be bitter in essence, so shall the fruit be. If the seed be sweet in essence, so shall the fruit be. Your intent is strengthened by your focus.
Now let us see what is your consistent focus in thought. What are your predominant thoughts? Are you focused on what you want or on what you do not want? Because your focus or your intent is like giving a direction to your car. What you constantly see and feel internally is where you are going.
Focus on your goal constantly, not on how it would go wrong all the time. You also need to revise your goals and go for course correction along the journey. The scenario around you is changing. You change with it too. Don't be a dinosaur. They went extinct.

Or when they develop a fundamental insight it gives me great joy. But what gives me tremendous joy is when relationship between parents and children are set right. Because when that happens to me it's an assurance, a guarantee, that that family is going to become enlightened. That is the key. It's a very challenging thing. If that is set right everything would fall into place, their financial problems will get resolved, their health problems will get resolved. So it's a solution to their problems. Plus, whenever every family, any single family makes it, the effect, the ripple effect would be on a 100,000 people. So much benefit occurs to mankind. We could prevent drought. We could prevent floods. We could prevent war. We could do so much if families as a whole could make it. That is why whenever relationship is set right-because one strange thing is, when a relationship is set right, the heart sends different signals to the brain. The brain is like a transmitting station. It transmits certain messages, certain thoughts, certain feelings into the thought sphere from which we absorb it back. So a 100,000 people would be affected if a family is set right, which means we are affecting global consciousness. To me the whole globe is like a family. So when something is happening here and everybody is getting benefited, it gives tremendous joy. That's why I'm so focused on the family. Sri Bhagavan Teaching - You are the Teacher and the Teaching

Question: You tell us that inner integrity is fundamental for spiritual awakening.
But when we practice it we see that we are the same selfish person as we were. Then how will this practice help us to contribute to our awakening? In spite of the process and teachings we find more and more ugliness. Reality shows us that what we love today is what we betray tomorrow. Then how do we stop this ugliness from affecting our condition to move forward? How do we make our heart flower instead of withering away?
You see that exactly is the problem. You already condemn this ugliness. And you are saying it must change. How did you go from here? It's all the wrong questions. All that we are saying is: it is neither ugliness nor is it beautiful. That is the problem. The mind is divisive in nature because mind is nothing but a flow of a thought. And what is thought? Thought is measurement. What do you do with measurement? You divide.
It is dividing as the ugly and the beautiful. It is saying this should not be there that must happen. That's where you are caught up. That is exactly what the teaching is telling: please understand the content is never important! Whatever be the content that is of no consequence. It is not 'your' content or 'his' content. It is a content in collective consciousness. It is just there. All that we are telling is please don't try to tamper with it.
What is inner integrity? Inner integrity is just seeing what is there. Not trying to condemn it as good or bad, right or wrong or giving explanations or saying how should it be in 2012? What should I change? I am still self-centered. I am still ugly. I am still struggling. Who asks you to struggle? Who asks you to change? Not at all.
All that we are telling is please see what is going on. It's very alive inside you. From moment to moment it's changing. It's as alive as an ocean. The waves are coming up and down. Your waves - all waves go away. Similarly thoughts are coming - going away. Emotions are coming - they are going away,
Personalities emerging and they are going away. Whole drama is taking place inside you. You are nothing but the universe. We are just saying: please don't condemn it. Don't try to change it. There is selfishness. Yes. It is not 'your' selfishness. It is not 'his' selfishness. It is selfishness.
Suffering is not 'your' suffering. Suffering is suffering whether you have it or he has it. We are all one. It's just there with us for millions of years. And it will be so until the brain changes.
So, you are selfish. Yes. That's the truth. You are rubbish pits and septic tanks. You are a rubbish pit and someone else is septic tank. That is what we have in the collective consciousness. It is there. You have gathered it over millions of years. Nothing we can do about it.
I am not asking you to become saints. Not at all! I want you to become sages. Who is a sage? He doesn't think what is right or wrong. He is just responds to life - that's all. He could be violent in a moment he could be a peaceful another moment.
He could help you a moment he cannot help you another moment. He is just responding to situations as they arise. He sees perfect action. You cannot call it good action or bad action or right or wrong. He just responds. And he does not go back and think whether is a right thing or a wrong thing. He keeps responding. He is just seeing what is going on. The content is not important for him.
So please just look at your ugliness. And then soon you stop calling it ugly. It could look very beautiful also. What looks useful could look ugly also. Therefore you must take a neutral stand. Not that you take a neutral stand. It must become neutral. Not that you behave like an enlightened one. No. You have to be enlightened.
Not that you behave like an awakened person and you put in effort. If you do that you will never get there. The problem with you is you attend level 1, level 2, this and that and then all of that becomes concepts.
And then you want to get there. You want to achieve that. And then you are doomed. There is nothing to achieve, nowhere to go. Everything is perfect. See things are perfect.
And what will help you? Inner integrity. As you go deeper and deeper it becomes easier and easier. And that is very enjoyable because conflict ceases. Because inner integrity is just seeing what is there. You don' t lie to yourself. It's ok to lie to somebody.
But the problem is you are often lying to yourself. Nonstop lying is going on to yourself because you don't want to see what is there because you think it is ugly. Who said it's ugly? Some teacher? Some scripture? Well, you have nothing to do with that. It's just there. That's all.
That is the truth. How can you play with the truth? You cannot tamper with the truth. The truth is that, yes you are selfish. But why do you call it selfish? Why do you name it selfish? Why do you say it's bad? It's just there. And you are not in control.
So if you would go deeper it all becomes natural it all becomes automatic. There is no need to change. What happens then? Please do it and see. If I tell you something it will again lead you to a concept. Just do it - it's not difficult. Start with your breath go inside and go inside just see what's going on.
Don't read any scripture or any teaching - not even my teaching. Just see what is going on. That's all. You are the teacher. And the teaching is your self. It's there right inside you the teaching. That is real teaching what's going on. Nothing more.
So if I give you a teaching and you make it a concept you are not going to get anywhere. I am just giving you some help. That's all. Teachings must come from inside from your observation from what you see. Then you must speak it out. Then you will see it has got power.

There are four factors that are essential for the success of an individual. First and foremost you need a clear vision. A life without a vision is like a journey without a destination.
Every one of you has an option: either to drift along like a dry leaf carried hither and tither by the winds, or fly like an arrow towards its goal, and the universe would help you reach where you want.
The universe is like Aladdin's magic lamp. It will give you whatever you seek.
Secondly, you need to have a focused mind, a mind that is capable of attention, that is capable of hard thinking. Thirdly, you ought to have excellent relationships within the family.
A strong civilization stands on the foundation of a strong family.
In a world of accelerated change it requires a very loving relationship between children and parents to keep ourselves sane. If your relationship with your parents is set right all problems whether with your academics or your career would be solved miraculously.
Ultimately, you need to live in a state free of conflict, a state of existence where you feel connectedness and love.
