In response to Sri Bhagavan's request to send Deeksha to the nuclear plants impacted by the earthquake, "as many times as you can, as many hours as you can," we will keep the conference room open all day from 11am Eastern Standard Time and 10pm Eastern Standard Time ( New York, USA). Please note that we are now on Daylight Savings time in the US. We will do a mediation at 11:00am and again at 10pm but the room will stay open between the meditations. Those who are not Blessing Givers but would like to offer their prayers with the same intention are welcome to participate. --------------------------------------------------- Background on the power plant situation: Tokyo Electric Power has described the situation at the Fukushima No 1 power plant as an emergency after the cooling system failed at a second reactor at the plant. Efforts are under way to evacuate 210,000 people living within 12 miles (20km) of the two plants. Residents outside the zone are being urged to stay inside, close doors and windows and turn off air conditioning. At the Fukushima no.1 nuclear power plant, (using uranium) following the no.1 nuclear reactor's meltdown, the no.3 nuclear reactor is reported to have started meltdown. This no.3 reactor is using MOX fuel, recycled fuel, plutonium! If something happens here, the expected degree of devastation is of a much greater magnitude and Japan (and other countries) will be in a very serious danger. This will become a much bigger accident than Chernobyl. Nuclear experts have warned the next few days will be crucial in determining exactly how bad the fallout from the Fukushima Number 1 power plant disaster could be. Japanese Oneness organiser Mr. Matsuda met Bhagavan today and he talked about the earthquake and tsunami. Bhagavan said:"Whether we can stop this is a matter of time.
