12. Enlightenment is the realization that there is no self to become enlightened!

Giving the Deeksha/Oneness Blessing
Always be aware that you are merely an
instrument of the Divine.
Visualize yourself as an empty vessel. Be in a state of humility, devotion,
gratitude, surrender, peace, joy, love.
Do not give blessings if you are in deep
suffering, are very ill, or if you have an addiction/habitual pattern with
smoking, alcohol or drugs. If you have such an addiction, the focus should be
on setting an intent to heal and receiving many blessings, and getting
professional help as needed. Refrain from smoking and drinking on days when you
will be giving blessings. Dress modestly with shoulders and legs covered.
Before you begin with the blessing, you may
ask the recipients to place their feet apart and lean slightly forward so you
can stand comfortably while giving the blessing. You may also give the blessing
while sitting in a chair with the recipients sitting or kneeling in front of
you.
1. Give gratitude to AmmaBhagavan and the divine for the gift of this
blessing and phenomenon. Ask the divine to completely fill you with the divine
Presence. Feel the Presence in your body and hands. Ask to be a clear vessel
for the blessing to move through.
2. Facing the recipient, lightly place your hands with thumbs slightly
touching on the top of the recipient's head and ask the Divine to fill the
recipient with Divine Grace, healing, and unconditional love or make a similar
request from your heart.
3. Feel a connection with the recipient. If you are aware of a specific need or intent of the recipient,
visualize the fulfillment of that need or intent as though it is already done.
4. Feel and express deep gratitude to the Divine for giving the Deeksha
to the recipient. At the appropriate time after a minute or two, slowly remove your hands
from the recipient's head, bow to the recipient and step back slowly from this
sacred space.
Notes:
Intent Deeksha:Blessings may be given to people not in your presence.
Visualize them being in front of you and you putting your hands on their head.
You may hold your hands out at your side or however you feel is best. If you
are giving to a group by intention, imagine them as a unit in 3 dimensional
form. You may give blessings to an area of the world or the whole world, even
to a map as you wish.
The deeksha blessing can be given to water, plants, food, animals,
buildings and inanimate objects. Drinking deeksha-blessed water may be very
powerful for healing.
Outside of a blessing event, you may give healing deeksha as appropriate
directly touching parts of peoples' bodies where they have discomfort or
disease. Visualize the person is well as you give the blessing and make your
silent intent to the divine that they are healed.

Parvathi Padma
Dhyana
Notes by Michael Milner
The feminine complement to
Chakra Dhyana that grounds and integrates the
kundalini energy with the body
Parvathi is the wife
of Shiva, a benevolent form of the Supreme Goddess, the Divine Feminine. Padma is
Sanskrit for Lotus. Dhyana is Sanskrit for Meditation.
Hence we could call this the "Divine Feminine Lotus
Meditation". Just as Parvati is the feminine counterpart to Shiva,
Parvathi Padma Dhyana completes and provides the Divine Feminine balance
to Chakra Dhyana.
This important
complement to Chakra Dhyana can be found in the book "Sri Amma Bhagavan
Varadeeksha Mala". It grounds the Kundalini energy down through the body,
healing, energizing and transforming the body. In addition to laying in
Shavasan (that is on our backs with our eyes closed, arms at our sides, palms
facing upward) regular practice of Parvathi Padma Dhyana can help us keep the
Kundalini and Oneness Blessing energies grounded, balanced and integrated with
the physical, emotional and psychological levels of our being.
Parvathi Padma Dhyana
1.
After finishing Chakra Dhyana sit with your eyes closed, spine erect but not
rigid, in any position that is comfortable for you. (If it feels right, you
could touch the tip of your tongue to the roof of your mouth).
2.
Visualize a golden lotus at the Sahasrara (crown of your head), with a stem
going down to the Mooladhara Chakra at the perineum (base of your body).
3.
As you inhale, visualize a
golden liquid flowing up
the stem from the Mooladhara towards the lotus in your crown.
4.
Hold your breath and visualize the golden energy filling every petal of the
lotus.
5.
As you exhale feel the energy
coursing down through
every cell in your body (Feel it
flood your Heart Chakra, your lower belly, your hands & your feet).
6.
Repeat the cycle at least 7 times.
Michael also recommends this variation:
The energy can be exhaled all the way down down through the feet into the
earth, down into the core of the planet and out to all the sentient beings
living on the earth, turning the entire world golden. Then one would inhale
from the earth up through the soles of the feet to the crown (and through the
crown into the heavens) and exhale down from the crown through the feet into
the earth. This is very powerful, uniting heaven and earth and bringing healing
and transformation to the planet and to all living creatures on the earth.
Other alternative breathing for grounding and
integration:
So-Ham mantra meditation taught occaisionally
by the guides at Oneness University and taught by Yogananda & Muktananda
and many other gurus. Inhale on "So" seeing the golden kundalini
energy flowing up from root to crown, hold your breath briefly while you see
the energy flowing up and out the top of your head mingling with the Cosmic
Prana, then exhale on "Ham" as it pours
back down over the whole body, FEEL it coursing down
through every part of your body body filling it with golden energy.
Eventually, So and Ham, inhale & exhale, may merge into OM, breath ceases,
and one enters the breathless state of Nirvikalpa Samadhi.
Taoist
breathing: Tongue curled, tip touching the center of the
hard palate in the roof of the mouth. Inhale feeling the energy flow up the
spine through the top of the head, exhale feeling it flow down the front of the
body to the lower belly (tantien = sea of elixir).
