From the Youth Pastor's Office: I got to sit ex-officio on our Pastoral Search Committee, which was a first for me to take part. It was hard, tough work but filled with prayer and meditation. After a few months of diligent reviews of church feedback, CovConnect profiles, and interviews, we've arrived at a candidate! Pray that the next steps of candidate visit and the vote to call are filled with God's presence and that we would discern well as a congregation.
I'm continually floored by the faithfulness of our students to serve God and learn His Word. We spent our last bible study building care packages for college students from our church/community. A rich opportunity to serve their big brothers and sisters to encourage them as they're studying abroad! On Nov. 18th, we've set a goal to compile 12 shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child on behalf of FCC Youth. Pray for the impact this has on both our students/leaders, but especially pray for the recipients to witness Christ's love through this large campaign.
CHIC fundraising has begun, and I praise again for the CHIC parents who have set out big vision to raise as much support as we can from our church, families, communities to get us to Knoxville.
The cup is overflowing when I was feeling like 3/4 full was good enough!
