Mission Emmaus

Gatineau, QC

Greetings from Gatineau-Quebec to all the Covenanters. 2011 is a very challenging year for the church plant in Quebec and a discerning moment for my family. We want you to stand with us in prayer as we are seeking God's direction for us a a family. Pray for me and my wife to get a job soon as my previous contract ended 3 months ago. Please pray for the finances for the church plant. We want to do more but we are limited because of resources. The location we moved the church last year is not a good location. Therefore we had lost some members. We want to get a good location but we are limited because of funds.

In conclusion we are anticipating with great joy what God has in store for us this year. God may be opening a door for ministry in Montreal. Montreal is a very strategic place for Quebec. We are praying God to give us more provision for that.

Yours for the people of Quebec,
Onesime Kubanay

ECCC NEWSLETTER ~ We need YOU!

In an effort to keep our community of churches connected and informed about the various ministries and people of the ECCC, we are hoping to begin (again) an ECCC newsletter. In the past The Messenger was the primary way of communicating the goings on around the Canada Covenant Church.

In an effort to be cost effective and environmentally friendly, we won't be sending out paper copies, but will post the newsletter online and email out instead.*

For our trial run we would love to gather submissions on the theme: Fellowship of Believers. This is one of the Covenant Affirmations and was the focus of this year's ECC Annual Meeting.

We welcome your stories, articles, poetry, photographs and anything else you can come up with!

Written pieces must be no more than 500 words. Articles or stories exceeding 500 words, must first be approved by Julia Stein, Editor. Please send your submission in .doc format.

Photographs must be sent  in .jpg format.

All submissions are due by August 15, 2011 to CanadaECC@gmail.com

*We will send printed versions by special request for those who are unable to view the newsletter online.
