Week's Random Thought:
Job. Poor Job. One man, who thought he had been forsaken
because of his continued suffering, comes to mind this week. Like the story of
Job, the biblical man, that in Hebrew Testament, clearly reminds us ALL...it
really could be worse. The thing about Job is that his patience, his faith was
ultimately rewarded. Set up in a game of character building between God and Satan,
Job had so many challenges. He lost his fortune, his children, got boils, and
his misfortune challenged him. And the more crap was thrown at him, the
stronger he became...Read More

Week's Random Thought Part II:
Recently there was
a funny thing happening with an 888 number. Consumers were calling this 888
number from a Fischer-Price DVD sleeve for consumer relations only to find,
that the eager people on the other line were offering a different type of "relations."
You see there was a typo on how the number was typed on the sleeve of the DVD...Read More

Week's Random Thought:
Well, let's just say, we are not biblical scholars at
Loudvine.com. We do music. But the moral of the misery of Job, or some could
argue, the rebirth of Job, might have something to do with patience and belief. But it
also deals with the omnipotence of creation, God's dominion, and Job's suffering,
in whatever capacity was not fun. Yet he was ultimately rewarded with
more then he ever had before.
Yet, we are all alike. We bend, we cry, we want to obtain
things, but we constantly need to hold onto something that makes a phase of our
lives easier to deal with. For some, it's eating crap food, for others, its
drink, some turn to exercise, others to work, some do call girls off CL, some quit their jobs and travel. Other become volunteers, adopt kids
from foreign countries, do rescue operations, take up painting or one of the
infinity amounts of things we can all choose from to escape.
Job, prayed. Job believed. Loudvine.com does music. We do
community. We do karma building by spreading the word on the very essence that
fuels us when, like you, we have those moments, that make us think, why the
fuck are we doing this. Then we think back to Job. He did not quit. He simply
escaped the turbulence in his life through meditation and belief. We choose
music., our daily meditation. Nothing superficial, nothing prescribed. Music, something that many
nights in LA is even gifted to us for free. You cannot pass that up. Free.
Music. Good music is all around us. So when we feel like, those moments, where
nothing makes sense, as we all do, a much needed escape is totally appropriate.
As long as you do not lose sight of your core and what you believe in. Faith.
Whether in a God, your lover, your favorite Punk band, will guide you through
as long as you let it breathe and accept it for what it is giving you. The
challenge is not trying to figure it out, but like Job, letting it guide you and not forsaking yourself or your beliefs wherever it might take you. Join us as the music guides us forward and pass it
along.

 Week's Random Thought Part II:
Fisher-Price realized the
screw-up after consumers complained of the great "service" when they called the
number on the sleeve only to realize they contacted an adults-only hot line.
The problem was quickly remedied. But it made me wonder. So many of us get
steered wrong, put on hold endlessly, and actually think others might be able
to help us.
Our mission is really simple at Loudvine.com. We cannot afford the legitimacy
that comes along with an 888 or even an 800 telephone number, but we do not need them. We have been littered with emails, tweets, and hugs around town as people
finally get a chance to put a face to the site and newsletter. We promise to
continue our one mission which is to help you find every music show every night
of the week based on what you like. And like an 888 number, we are certain we
have anything you might be looking for. Simply log unto to Loudvine.com and
give us a chance to arouse you...musically that is.
