The summer enrichment programs for kids and teens are brought to you by Adult and Community Education (ACE), an integral part of Fairfax County Public Schools. These ACE programs are supported by student fees and are not funded from the school system's operating budget.

Greetings!

Enrich your child in K-6 with a week-long language camp, pave the way to success for your 6-12 grade child with a test preparation class, or make sure your rising 9-12 grade teen reaches his or her destination safely in a driver education program. 

 

These and dozens of other classes, courses, and camps are being offered through the Adult and Community Summer Enrichment program.

Enjoy summer days filled with meaningful, memorable fun. These programs provide a fun way to keep children engaged in learning throughout the summer.

  • Cooking, Crafts, and Movement (gr. 2-3 and 4-6)

Foreign Language Experience (FLEX) Summer Camps

 

Give your child a world language camp experience in a fast-paced, exciting environment. For three fun-filled hours each day,

Spanish language classexperienced, fluent instructors will introduce children to another culture through its language. Your child will engage in authentic cultural activities that employ music, art, and games to build a rock-solid foundation for future language learning. The value is the excitement, expert delivery, and interests developed. Camps are grouped by grades K-1, 1-6, and 2-6.

 

Language choices: Italian, French, Spanish, German and German Immersion, Chinese, Arabic, or Hindi!

Fort Hunt, Haycock, Lane, Marshall Road, Poplar Tree, Sunrise Valley, and West Springfield
  • Choose one- or two-week sessions
  • Morning and afternoon programs available
  • Combine with an elementary enrichment camps for a full-day program (supervised lunch break included)

Driver Education: Classroom and Behind the Wheel

 

Getting a driver's license can be a significant milestone. Take steps to ensure your child is a safe and responsible driver by getting them the training they need behind the wheel.

Language Mania

 

Watch the love of language take root this summer! Designed for middle school and immersion students, these language and culture courses provide engaging, multisensory instruction in a foreign language. Not only will taking one of these classes offer your adolescent a head start in language, it's also a great way to meet others in a safe, constructive setting this summer.
