Look for the Envision Your Success Mega Job Fair and Entrepreneurial Expo, one of the largest in the region, at the Fairfax County Government Center this Saturday, March 28. Dress for success, bring resumes, and present yourself to participating employers. See "The Art of Self-Promotion" article below for how.
Fairfax County has job openings that range from engineering and communications to clerical and plant operator.
The Fairfax County Public School system is looking to fill all kinds of positions spanning carpenter, comptroller, and senior buyer, to HVAC, appliance, and refrigeration technicians, in addition to instructional positions.
The Commonwealth of Virginia lists state job vacancies for posts in the Northern Virginia area, too.

Keeping up with employment trends
 You may need to change careers several times in your life. Keep your eye on the future and take advantage of labor industry forecases before committing to a specific career program. For starters, check the Virginia Workforce Connection, the US Bureau of Labor Statistics employment projections program, and Northern Virginia Workforce Investment system's SkillSource centers to get a sense of the future job market.

You can donate goods, such as computers, formal wear, or furniture to a Fairfax County public school by using the recently revamped Donations Form. You'll receive a thank you letter and a receipt for tax purposes for your generosity! Donations should be in good condition. | |
