ArtsOC Marketing Consortium to Hear Trevor O'Donnell |
Trevor O'Donnell, author of Marketing the Arts to Death, is the featured speaker at Arts Orange County's Marketing Consortium luncheon on October 30th. His latest blogpost sums up his passion for marketing the arts with its ironic title: "Arts Marketing Sucks--So Let's Change the Art." He concludes this post by saying: "Forgive me for for having the temerity to suggest that there's nothing wrong with art the way it is, but if the marketing sucks, shouldn't we fix the marketing before we start trying to fix the art?" O'Donnell is a longtime arts & entertainment marketing guru whose clients have included Disney Theatricals, Cameron Macintosh, Nederlander Organization, Center Theatre Group, Music Center of LA and others. ArtsOC Marketing Consortium meetings are limited to large budget arts organization and university arts school marketing staff and mid-sized arts organization executive directors, however, others are welcome on a space-available basis. If interested in attending, please contact Rick Stein. |
