Port of Longview announces new CEO

The Port of Longview has announced the selection of Geir-Eilif Kalhagen as their next Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Geir is set to succeed the port's current CEO Ken O'Hollaren, and will officially join the port on September 1. Ken O'Hollaren has announced that he will be retiring in December of this year, after successfully leading the port for nearly 25 years.

Geir has diverse management skills and a local background. He worked in operations management for both SSA and Star Shipping, and most recently served as the General Manager for Tidal Transport and Trading in the Columbia River. PNWA congratulations Geir on his new position and looks forward to continuing our successful partnership with the port under his leadership.

Glen Squires to lead Washington Grain Commission

PNWA Executive Committee member Glen Squires has been selected as the Washington Grain Commission's (WGC) next Chief Executive Officer.  Glenn has worked for the WGC for 19 years, most recently serving as Vice President of the organization.  In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing WGC and the Washington Association of Wheat Growers (WAWG) staff and will serve as the leader of both organizations.  PNWA congratulates Glen on his new role, and looks forward to continuing our partnership with both WGC and WAWG under his leadership.
