The Port of St. Helens is actively seeking candidates for their Executive Director position.  This highest level management position at the Port reports directly to the elected Port Commission and is responsible for providing strategic leadership for the organization by establishing long-range goals, business strategies, plans and policies.  The Executive Director promotes the Port's mission by driving economic development and job growth for the Port district, and managing/delegating duties for day to day operations of the Port.   7 - 10 years experience in aviation, marina, industrial property management, development, leasing and/or related fields is desired, with 3 or more years in a general manager or executive director type role.  For additional information, including an employment application and a detailed job description, please visit http://www.portsh.org/employment

Smart Rivers 2011 Conference - Call for Abstracts
 
The 2011 Smart Rivers Conference will be held September 13-16, 2011 in New Orleans, LA, and will bring together inland/river transportation stakeholders from developed and developing areas of the world.  Participants and presenters are sought regarding best practices and innovation in North and South America, Europe, and Asia.  Smart Rivers is currently seeking abstract submissions for the event, which must be submitted no later than January 24, 2011.  For additional details including a list of guidelines for submission, featured conference topics and the conference format, please visit www.smartrivers.org or contact staff directly at [email protected] or 703-428-9090.
