This extremely versatile Le Creuset stoneware is really very tough, being dishwasher safe, oven proof and microwave safe. We use it at home and it's perfect for Babette's Gratin Dauphinois. Well actually I think the recipe is Tony's Gratin Dauphinois, a friend of ours, who's a mean cook. I've a feeling that milk has been replaced by cream (single or double ... I'm not sure) and probably an exotic cheese instead of the cheddar that I vaguely remember using in my bachelor days ... Anyway the results' tremendous.
