Greetings!

Leaders Credit Union is 100% devoted to the Jackson and West Tennessee community.  We can say that because we house our entire operations in the Jackson area, and we have supported the local economy for over 50 years.

We pride ourselves on our commitment to you and your family in this area, but we strive to do more for our community.  We are one of the largest supporters of non-profit agencies in the area, contributing both time and money to education and healthcare-focused causes as well as local schools and youth programs.

In this issue, we focus on those programs and how we're contributing to efforts that may impact you or someone you know in a big way.

Leaders Investment Services supports the STAR Center
 STAR Center

It was an evening of good food, great entertainment, and outstanding funds raised for the cause of treating childhood illness.  Kevin Smith with Leaders Investment Services partnered with the STAR Center on February 5th to raise awareness and funds for the organization.  He worked with STAR by helping to bring in one of the most sought-after tenors and pianists in the nation to entertain the guests.

A Jackson vocal standout got to join in the festivities for the evening as Sidney Burngasser joined our celebrities on stage for a rendition of "My Funny Valentine".  The evening benefitted local children and young adults with disorders through raising funds for the STAR Center's fine arts program.  For more details and photos from the event, please visit our Facebook page via the link in the left panel.

Leaders CU Sponsors Blue Suede Dinner, Evening of Hope
Blue Suede Shoes
For several years, the Carl Perkins Center and the Jackson Exchange Club have fought child abuse in the Jackson and West Tennessee community through their annual Dinner and Auction.  Leaders Credit Union has been honored and privileged to participate as a table sponsor at this event and we continue that tradition in 2011.

On February 26, Leaders Credit Union participated again as a sponsor at the Silver level for the Carl Perkins Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse Blue Suede Dinner and Auction.  Neil McCoy, Little Texas and The Roys performed and there were both silent and live auctions that guests were able to purchase items from.  All proceeds benefitted the Carl Perkins Center.

Leaders has also partnered with the Chyanne Scott Foundation for a number of years to honor its namesake by raising funds and awareness for childhood illness and those that help to cure it.  The Scott Foundation benefits Jackson area families of children with illness and local medical students by providing scholarships and funds for medical attention.

On February 26, the Chyanne Scott Foundation held its annual "Evening of Hope" at Festivities in Jackson.  The dinner was mystery-themed, with entertainment for the evening being provided by local musical and television talent.
