Resources from the Early Childhood Directors Leadership Seminar

with Drew Gerdes and Julie Klopke

From everything that we heard, Drew and Julie provided everyone with plenty of things to take home with them in the area of making their school not just good BUT GREAT! We are providing you with a few of the resources that they posted at the seminar for those of you that may have misplaced them or were unable to attend. Here is the list:

www.vistaprint.com- all sorts of printing (business cards, post cards, etc.) reasonably prices, sometimes free introductory offer.

www.ounceofprevention.org- an organization based in Chicago advocating early childhood education. Under the resources there are videos that can be used with staff or parents.

www.arisonrecords.com- source fo great Christian music for children and adults.

www.lutheranchurchcharities.org- Julie mentioned their K-9 Comfort Dog program. A comfort dog visits Julie's school one day a week.

www.communitythreads.org- an example of fund raising (a resale store that offers monetary support to Julie's school and other ministries)

www.weebly.com- a sight for creating a free website.

www.shutterfly.com- many photos resources, but also a source of a free classroom website (put classroom website in search box to get directly to this information).

Also, there was something in each of table arrangement boxes that gave you recipes of different kinds of things you could make for use in your classrooms. We are making it available to you in this document.
