This school year we are focusing on reaching out and sharing God's hope with our community.  In September and October we collected 75 "hoodie" sweatshirts for St. Francis House.  November we worked with our church and the local food bank to collect items to be used in holiday food baskets.  In December we are asking our families to give gifts of appreciation to the Heifer project instead of gifts to our teaching staff.  Check out our facebook page and watch our families shine. Immanuel is excited to accounce the opening of our third place- Thr3e is a coffee shop ministry that will be serving Puyallup High School, our preschool families, the MOPS moms, organizations using our campus for non-church related functions and our congregation.  Thr3e is a safe place for people to gather in a non-threatening Christian atmosphere.  The preschool will be hosting our monthly birthday club celebrations at thr3e with hot chocolate, special treats and a game or story.

 The second LCMS National Children's Ministry Conference will be held July 7-10, 2011, at St. John's Lutheran Church, in Orange, CA.

"From Sandals to Sneakers" is the theme of the 2011 National Childdren's Ministry Conference.  Sandals and sneakers protect and highlight feet.  The prayer ministry in preparation for that national event (and auziliary and regional events) will focus on feet.  Each month we look at our own feet, Jesus' feet, the feet of children, or the feet of those who serve children.  Guided by a Biblical text ("light for our feet") we will then fall at the feet of Jesus in Prayer.  The "footsteps in faith" section will encourage further reflection or action.  Follow this link to access each monthly text.
