Welcome to this Awesome Spring!

Spring flowers are everywhere, the flowering trees are stunning, and if we didn't compost, etc. the weeds in our gardens are huge and healthy!

Saturday once again we'll luckily get our April showers.  And can you believe that  Easter is just a bit over a week away on April 8th?

Please enjoy every second of this amazing spring, and stop by the Collegeville Winter Farmers' Market and visit our dedicated vendors at the Longview Farm Store:

A'dello Vineyards announces their first-ever Pinot Noir!  Taste test this beauty at its debut at Longview this Saturday!

A'dello will also be  bringing their  chardonnays: the very dry Chardonnay Reserve, Chardonnay Naked, and semi-sweet Cardonnel, as well as their reds: a Chambourcin, Merlot and Cabernet Franc; their Cellar Door Collection of rose wines and their delicious signature fruit wines.

Mountain View Poultry Farm continues to offer a special on two dozen eggs for $8.00.  Marie will once again bring her pastured whole chickens and parts, and her extensive line of chicken sausages, soups, barbeque and other products, as well as her flavored salts.

Marcy's Granola--Stop by and sample a different flavor of Marcy's six original flavors of artisan granola. Also check out Marcy's packaging which now includes Nutritional Facts.   Marcy's granola is made with oats, dried fruits, nuts and seeds, and she uses only the finest oil and vegan-friendly sweeteners to make it slightly sweet.

FreshAPeel Hummus will have a number of their wonderful hummus flavors reflecting both local and cross-cultural influences.  Their hummus is made using a handcrafted single-batch production process for each of their tasty flavors.  So good for you and delicious!

Om Shanti Naturals--Kate is returning with all her herbal products, including her bath line with body and shower washes, salt and sugar body scrubs, massage oils, both salts, bath oils and--her latest offering--Cilantro Lime and Good Smellin' Bug Soap (which also acts as an amazing bug repellant--perfect for this time of year!).
Our Collegeville Farmers' Market vendors sell inside the Longview Farm Store each Saturday from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. through April 28th, 2012.

The Longview Center for Agriculture is located at the former Willow Creek Farm, 3215 Stump Hall Road in Collegeville.

While visiting our farmers and vendors this week, check out the variety of local, sustainably produced products at the farm store, including freshly picked green kale, rainbow Swiss chard, red beets, lettuce, arugula and harvest mix, scallions, herbs, carrots, garlic, and the many varieties of onions, potatoes, apples, and pears.
