Buyer's Remorse - Can I Get Out of the Contract I Just Signed?

Article by Lisa M. Hammel, Esq.

Williams & Williams PSC

In most cases, once you sign a contract, you are stuck with the terms of the agreement you entered into. Therefore, it is always a good idea to take your time and read thoroughly through all of the terms of the contract before signing it. This is especially true if you find yourself in a "high pressure sales environment." If a salesperson is pressuring you to sign a contract without giving you the chance to read and think about it, it is probably a good idea to walk away.

King County AED Awareness Month! The Shockingly Simple Campaign

King County Public HealthIt's shockingly simple to save a life. The Emergency Services Division of Public Health - Seattle & King County launched the Shockingly Simple Campaign to increase adoption and registration of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in Seattle and King County. Every year more than 300,000 Americans die from sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) - a condition in which the heart unexpectedly stops beating. It can happen anywhere, to anyone, at any time, even to those with optimal heart health. And when it occurs - seconds count.

To learn more about the Shockingly Simple campaign or to register your AED, please visit: www.kingcounty.gov/aed

Making the Internet Work for Your Business
Article Submitted by Paul Taylor, A Taylor'd Design

Everywhere you turn, there is the "cloud". Microsoft has Office 365 and Azure. Google has Cloud Computing and Cloud Services, and Amazon has its Web Services and Cloud Platform. There is myth and then there is reality.

Here are some quick pointers to help you get started:

1. With the cloud you don't need to have a backup plan. MYTH: No matter how you run you business, you need to have a backup plan.

2. With the cloud you no longer need to crawl thru email threads to determine what documents you sent to the customer. REALITY: You can enable customers and partners to have selective access to quotes, design, proposals, etc.

3.With the cloud you no longer need to sync everyone's calendar, or manage junk email. MAGIC: Cloud email and calendar services maintain a shared calendar and apply junk filtering.

To learn more about the myths and realities of being in the cloud, go to http://wp.me/p2pPRi-2k and check back next month with the Bothell Chamber for more insights from the internet on-ramp.
