Voter pamphlets and ballots for the November 8 election were mailed to homes last week. Bothell residents have the opportunty to vote on three city council positions. To view the Council Candidate Forum video, tune in to BCTV Channel 21/26 at 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM each day or click on the link to the online version on the  City's website.

 

Voters in the North, East and West of Bothell Annexation area (NEWBA) in Snohomish County will have the opportunity to vote on whether or not to be annexed into Bothell. More information is available at ImagineBothell.com

This year's Northshore Rotary Club's annual auction is raising funds for a matching grant from Rotary District 5030 and the Gates Foundation to support organizations in their efforts to help homeless families and teens throughout Northshore and King County. They also raise funds for their annual Santa Breakfast and other community service projects in the Northshore area. Taste of the Holidays at Country Village

CountryVillageLogoAll of the shops will be decorated for the holidays and complimentary hot roasted chestnuts will be provided between 4:00-6:00 (or while supplies last) by the main stage.

Finish the day with a wine tasting featuring approximately 20 Washington wineries, each one located in a different shop throughout the village between 5PM - 8PM. Proceeds benefit the Northshore Performing Arts Foundation. Tickets are required for the wine tasting and can be purchased in advance online for $20 using the link below, or the day of at the check-in booth, for $25. Each ticket includes 10 tastings.

On September 30th, the Department of Labor announced that Washington State's minimum wage will increase from $8.67 to $9.04 beginning January 1, 2012.   

 

Washington state currently has the highest minimum wage of all 50 states. Oregon is second with a minimum wage of $8.50. Washington is one of 10 states that adjust the minimum wage based on inflation and the CPI.
