October is National Physical Therapy Month
Article by Erik Moen, Corpore Sano PT

Corpore Sano PTThis year's National Physical Therapy Month theme is "sports injury prevention across the lifespan". Participating in sports or activities at any age helps promote physically active lifestyles. We know the potential for sports-related injuries exists in spite of the documented health benefits of physical activity (weight management, cardiovascular endurance, improved muscular function, increased self-esteem, etc).

Participating and preparing for sports the right way is critical to avoiding injuries that can sideline you for a significant amount of time. Please visit www.moveforwardpt.com to learn about the Physical Therapist's (PT) role in sports injury prevention. You can browse through APTA's in-depth consumer information guides, videos, "Ask a PT," and "Find a PT" for more about the many ways in which Physical Therapists can help improve your quality of life and to find a physical therapist in the Northshore neighborhood.
