2nd Annual Senior Citizen Day in Downtown Bothell!
Tuesday, September 13
9:00 AM - 2:00 PM

Once again the Greater Bothell Chamber and a variety of local businesses look forward to honoring our greatest generation.

On Tuesday, September 13, come take a stroll down Main Street, visit the shops, the restaurants and celebrate our seniors. Enjoy free give-a-ways, food, shopping, discounts, historical tours, entertainment, prizes and more. If it's anything like last year, you may even find yourself dancing in the street! The City will wrap up the festivities with its annual dedication of Senior Citizen's Day.

We welcome all seniors and their families. The activities begin at 9:00 AM and conclude just after 2:00, so come for an hour or make it a day. In addition to free parking, a shuttle service will run from various retirement communities, and the Northshore Senior Center will provide additional shuttle service to and from Downtown Bothell at regular times throughout the day. Come join us! You won't want to miss this special event!

An annual tradition, come to downtown Bothell's premier chili event, held in conjunction with the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce. Sample the culinary wares of 15 chili chefs. There is no admission charge so please bring a can of chili, or other non-perishable food item, or cash donation. Each $1 or food item donated gets you a single Vote for People's Choice.

Chilifest is hosted by Evergreen Washelli and sponsored by the Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce.

Special Screening of REBIRTH
At Acacia Memorial Park & Funeral Home

Please join the staff of Acacia Memorial Park and Funeral Home for a special screening of the yet-to-be-released film, REBIRTH.

This feature length documentary has been created by a team of seasoned, successful Hollywood filmmakers who have been working together since 9/11. Their vision is a compelling film experience and a unique historical record and resource: a living testament to honor 9/11, and its victims and heroes. The result of a filmmaking journey into living history, the story of REBIRTH follows the transformation of five people, over the course of 10 years, whose lives were forever altered on September 11, 2001.

Admission is free and you may choose to make a donation to support the work of Project Rebirth.

Researchers are predicting a dramatic increase in diabetes over the next 40 years. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimated that in 2010, 11.3 percent of Americans aged 20 years or older had diagnosed or undiagnosed diabetes. That's more than 1 in 10-and some don't even know they have diabetes!  Fortunately, we each have the ability to prevent diabetes, or at least delay its onset.
