Chamber to Host Beer & Wine Garden at Bothell's Arts Festival this Weekend! Saturday, June 25 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Sunday, June 26 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM
 Summer is almost here and that means Bothell's LiveARTS volunteers are hard at work preparing Bothell's premier cultural event! This year, in addition to over 50 juried artisan booths and the juried art gallery, there will be a Quilt Show and the art and music of local students.
Throughout the festival there will be live performances and entertainment, the very popular Children's Art Corner, where families can explore their creativity inspired by a local Chalk Artist, and a Beer and Wine Garden (hosted by your very own Greater Bothell Chamber of Commerce!).

"Visions in Stone" by OlsonDesign to be at LiveARTS this Weekend Saturday and Sunday, June 25 & 26
 Local jeweler and Chamber member Richard Olson aka the Bothell Rock Star, will be featuring his unique artwork entitled "Visions in Stone" at the upcoming Bothell arts festival, LiveArts. Each framed piece is an original, as it contains the actual stone that Richard has cut, mounted and photographed. Richard noted that these sold very,very well at last years event. He and his wife Susan will be the sponsors at tomorrow's General Meeting so you will be able to see a preview of the latest creations they both are working on. |
Country Village Farmers Market is Back! Every Friday Noon - 6:00 PM
 Bothell's Annual Farmers Market at Country Village opened on June 3, and runs every Friday through September 30, 2011 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The market can be found in the center parking lot of Country Village. The Bothell Farmers Market features many locally grown and organic fruits and vegetables, cut flowers, Baklava, pastas, olive oils, butter, breads, tea, lamb, berries, honey, jams and jellies along with quality hand-crafted one-of-a-kind items made by local artisans. Local musicians will keep you humming while you make your purchases. Visitors will also enjoy the beautiful grounds of Country Village, train rides, pony rides by Lang's Pony Farm, face painting and over forty individually owned shops and restaurants while stocking up on the best the Northwest has to offer! The Northshore Rotary is Seeking Host Families for an Exchange Student
 The Northshore Rotary Club will be hosting a 16-year old exchange student from Taiwan beginning in late-August. Judging from his essay, his English is good already. His father is an engineer and his mother is a CPA. He also has a younger sister. He likes to play basketball, swim, read, and enjoys hip-hop dancing. He will be enrolled as a Junior at Inglemoor High School in the fall. Rotary is seeking four host families, each for 10-11 weeks, who live within the Inglemoor High School bus area. He will be here for the 2011/2012 school year. You do not have to have a student attending Inglemoor, you just have to live within the school bus zone. June Workshops to Introduce Draft Shoreline Goals, Policies & Regulations June 23 & 29 6:00 - 9:00 PM
 Join other residents and property owners to view and discuss Draft Goals, Policies, and Regulations that will govern uses, activities and development along the Sammamish River, North Creek and Swamp Creek. On June 23rd & 29th, the City will host two shoreline workshops. The purpose of the workshops is to introduce residents and property owners to draft Shoreline Master Program (SMP) Goals, Policies, and Regulations which will govern uses, activities, development, and construction occurring along the City's shorelines. What are Bothell's shorelines? They are the Sammamish River, North Creek, and, if annexed to the City, Swamp Creek, plus associated floodplains, wetlands and all lands within 200 feet of these water bodies. Whether people work along, live along, or use shorelines for recreation, economic development, or fishing, all citizens have a stake in the future of shoreline areas and the provisions which govern them.
