City of Bothell Releases West Bothell Landing Parcel Mix of Downtown Housing, Neighborhood Retail and Professional Services
The City of Bothell released an RFP to sell a prime downtown parcel of property called the West Bothell Landing Parcel, once again demonstrating that the City is successfully implementing one of the largest downtown revitalization efforts in our state. With a wide array of amenities coming, and already in place, Bothell is ready to welcome a diverse population of new downtown residents, employees and retailers. The 5.9 acres is located one block to the new McMenamins hotel pub and is to be developed in concert with Bothell's downtown revitalization plan. It is flexibly zoned for a number of neighborhood uses, including corner retail and professional services as well as for-sale and for-rent housing of a variety of types. "This parcel is part of our community vision to develop a high-density urban downtown neighborhood that will bring new housing, retail, hospitality and creative office space," said Bothell City Manager Bob Stowe. "Bothell is leading the way in how smaller cities can become active in the planning, management and interface with private investors in order to leverage public land to create urban, sustainable communities." Proposals are due to the City by April 20, 2011 at 4 p.m. Questions can be received by the City until April 8 at 4 p.m. For further information and to review the RFP please visit www.FutureofBothell.com/opportunities. Now, TV, video games, and the Internet have made everyone more sedentary. Being overweight can contribute to physical problems such as high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease even in young children. Being overweight also limits a child's athletic abilities and impairs self-esteem. Read more... |
