Train at Cascadia Community College to Work in Emerging Industry for Free!
Free tuition, books, fees and transportation for energy audit specialist certificate

CascadiaCommunityCollegeLogo

File this under the category of "have your cake and eat it too." Cascadia Community College is offering a two-quarter certificate program in the emerging industry of residential and commercial energy auditing. This program goes far beyond typical auditing certificate programs by including curriculum focused on energy generation, distribution, use, and alternative energy assessment. And it's totally free for WIA eligible students.

The program is made possible through a grant awarded to Cascadia Community College by the Department of Labor. It is designed to re-train workers in preparation for careers as energy auditors, analysts, estimators, and systems controllers.

Classes begin April 4, 2011 and will conclude August 25, 2011. They are designed and led by PhD-level faculty, and combine challenging classwork with authentic field experience.

For more information, including program qualifications, details about orientation sessions, and profiles of students currently enrolled in the program, go to www.cascadia.edu/workforce.
