In 2010, BISD changed the district web address from www.birdville.k12.tx.us to www.birdvilleschools.net. At the same time, the e-mail address format was changed from firstname_lastname@birdville.k12.tx.us to firstname.lastname@birdvilleschools.net. At this time, there are staff members/departments who still have the old e-mail address listed on their websites.

By Nov. 1, all staff and departments are asked to update their websites to reflect only the new e-mail format. In addition, all campuses and departments should only use district approved letterhead and business cards that have the new format. All letterhead and business cards showing a web address or e-mail with birdville.k12.tx.us should be destroyed immediately. New letterhead and business cards can be ordered through the warehouse/purchasing department. To request an electronic copy of campus letterhead, please contact your campus secretary.

If you have links on your website that go to a birdville.k12.tx.us website, please don't change them at this time. The requirement above deals only with e-mail addresses, letterhead and business cards.

If you have any questions, please call Mark Thomas at ext. 5718 or e-mail at mark.thomas@birdvilleschools.net.

The Communications Department publishes the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits.
