Safety training for all BISD staff

The SafeSchools video training program is now live and available for all staff. Employees who have a BISD e-mail should expect an e-mail with log in information from SafeSchools. If an employee doesn't receive an e-mail from SafeSchools by Monday, Aug. 20, please contact Paige Curry at 5789 or Eva Miranda at 5720.

Please make sure phone messages reflect information about the district's school hours.

Campus principals need to verify that campus voice mail messages are kept updated and reflect pertinent information for your campus.

BISD expects all staff with voice mail and e-mail to change their voice mail and out of office reply on e-mail when they are not going to be in the office/classroom. The district does not want people to leave a voice mail or e-mail to find out later that the person is out of the office/classroom for several days.

BISD prepares for another great year.

BISD is launching a new sub system

BISD is launching a new Automated Substitute Placement and Absence Management System (AESOP) for the 2012-13 school year. This system is replacing the SubFinder/WebConnect System.

All BISD employees, who are required to report absences through the automated system, will be receiving an e-mail notification, on or before Aug. 17, with instructions for accessing the new system as well as a username and password.

Additional information will be sent to each campus for distribution.

The Communications Department publishes the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district. E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits.
