| BHS Softball Playoff Information |
 Birdville High School's girls softball team will play Wolf Forth Frenship, Friday, May 18 at 4:30 p.m. in Graham, 198 Graham East Blvd., and Saturday, May 19 at 10:30 a.m. in Graham. (Game three, if needed, will take place 30 minutes after the ending of game two.) Tickets are $5 adults and $3 for students.

Bracelets for the Brave
|
Binion Elementary raised more than $650 to donate to the Candlelighters of Fort Worth, a charity that supports families with children undergoing cancer treatments at Cook Children's Hospital. As part of their social studies curriculum, Mrs. Jimenez's and Mrs. Aguirre's third-grade classes decided to make a difference in their community. After reading "One Hen," the students decided to turn a loan from their teachers into a very lucrative business dedicated to raising money for the Candlelighters. The students created a business plan, printed advertisements, wrote televised commercials, and designed beaded friendship bracelets to sell during lunch. Their hard work paid off tremendously, and they are looking forward to bringing some light into the world of children facing such challenging times.> View Pictures
