At a special board meeting on May 10, Birdville ISD's Board of Trustees approved the appointment of Lorene Ownby as director of elementary education and campus support, Kimberly Hamilton as secondary math consultant, Ann-Marie Trammell as secondary language arts consultant, and April Chiarelli as elementary social studies/English language arts with emphasis in writing across the content consultant.

Ownby has been an administrator in Keller ISD since 2006. In Keller, she served as Chisholm Trail Intermediate principal, Eagle Ridge Elementary principal, and Keller Middle School assistant principal. Ownby also served as principal at Ware Elementary and assistant principal at Forest Park Middle School in Longview ISD from 2002-06.
She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Texas A&M University and her educational specialist degree from the University of New Mexico.

Hamilton is currently a math coach at Richland High School. Prior to Richland, she served as a math and science teacher at Waco High School from 2003-09, and a math and science teacher at Brighton High School in Brighton, Michigan from 2002-03.
She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Michigan.

Trammell is currently K-12 coordinator for English language arts in Keller ISD. Prior to Keller, she worked in the University of Texas system as a reading technical assistance specialist from 2004-07, at Florence Elementary in Keller ISD as a reading specialist from 2002-04, and at North Richland Middle School as a sixth-grade reading teacher from 1995-2002.
She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Wesleyan University and her master's and doctorate degrees from the University of Phoenix.

Chiarelli is currently the principal at North Ridge Elementary. Prior to North Ridge, she worked at Bransom Elementary in Burleson ISD as principal from 2007-09, at Mound Elementary in Burleson ISD as assistant principal from 2005-07, and W.A. Porter Elementary in Birdville ISD as a fifth-grade teacher from 2000-05.
She earned her bachelor's degree from Texas Christian University and her master's degree from the University of North Texas.
