Board of Trustees Select Superintendent Search Firm

At a special called meeting on Thursday, Feb. 10, BISD's board of trustees selected Bob E. Griggs & Associates to conduct the superintendent search for Birdville ISD. The Board has charged them to identify a new, visionary leader for BISD.

Francisco Elementary Hosts Texas State School Scrabble Championship

Francisco Elementary will host the Texas State School Scrabble Championship on March 5 at the Fine Arts/Athletics Complex. All students in fifth through eighth grade are eligible to play in two member teams. Sign-in begins at 8 a.m. The tournament ends at 4 p.m. with a presentation of awards. Adult coaches are required to be present at all times. The registration deadline is Feb. 18. For information, e-mail Mary Ann Hart at txscrabble@gmail.com or by calling 817-547-1700.
