The communications department produces the employee newsletter "e-nlightened" each week so that staff can keep in touch with what is going on across the district.  E-mail your pictures and a brief description to Communications and we will include them as space permits.

Haltom
It's homecoming week at Haltom High. They posted homecoming 2010 hallway decoration pictures on their website.  This year's theme is "50 years of cartoons."
 
Haltom plays Irving Nimitz at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 24 at the FAAC.

RHS 50th Anniversary Homecoming Parade
RHS 2Richland High School's 2010 50th Anniversary Homecoming Parade begins at 6:15 p.m. on Oct. 25. There is a parade planning meeting from 6-7 p.m. on Oct. 4 in the cafeteria. For information and entry fee details, contact Deborah Pizzini at 817.706.8401.

BISD is offering free Spanish for educators
BISD's Title I Parent Connection Center is offering Spanish for Educators. Classes are open to any BISD staff member wanting to learn Spanish. Classes are taught at the Shannon Learning Center in room 209.
 
Beginner classes meet every Tuesday from 4-5:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 5. Classes end Dec. 7.   

Intermediate classes meet every Wednesday from 4-5:30 p.m. beginning Oct. 6. Classes end Dec. 8.

Birdville Education Foundation Begins Employee Giving Campaign
As a Birdville ISD employee, you are aware of the many state mandates that continue to impact our school district's budget.  To provide additional funds for our teaching staff and students, the Birdville Education Foundation, is beginning its employee giving campaign.

Green Valley  Elementary Hosting Building a Framework for Thinking Nov. 17 & 18 

Green Valley Elementary, a National Blue Ribbon School, has incorporated a true Interdisciplinary Instructional Approach to teaching and learning using many strategies and a universal vocabulary once reserved for gifted and talented classrooms to foster higher level thinking in all scholars. We have found this approach to create a fundamental systemic change in instructional delivery and assessment.
