Eight Birdville ISD schools participated in Education in Action's Experiential Learning Day Programs this school year. Six schools took their fourth graders on the "Proud to be Texan" day program to Austin, and two schools took their fifth graders on the "Water Rocks" day program to the Cameron Park Zoo and Inner Space Cavern.

Texas is the first, and so far, only state to meet all the American Diploma Project's five key college and career readiness measures, Achieve, a national bipartisan organization, announced recently.
